In my practice I:

  • Recognize the challenges that individuals with learning and/or behavior problems face
  • Recognize the challenges that parents of children with difficulties face
  • Recognize that a whole family unit can be disrupted when one member is experiencing difficulty
  • Offer interventions that are tailored to meet each individual's unique needs
  • Encourage a holistic approach that looks at the total person in all of the environments in which she/he functions (home, school, work environment, social)
  • Believe that change is more likely to occur when the needs of all family members are addressed
